Twitter?

Several people have already asked me if Charley has, or will have, a Facebook page. The answer, unless I change my mind, is no: I have quite enough work to do, thanks. But it just occurs to me: would anyone be interested in Charley Project tweets? It would be much simpler and quicker than running a Facebook page. It would include stuff that catches my eye but that I don’t feel like writing a whole blog entry about.

On the other hand, according to Cracked, my favorite font of information, no one actually reads other people’s tweets.

So…you guys decide. Would setting up a Twitter account for Charley (I don’t have one of my own) be worth it?

You already have the Charley Project and a blog to update, and you’re in school to. I thnk Twitter would be overdoing it.

I wouldn’t get them cuz I don’t have access to twitter or even know how to tweet, I only share FB cases everyday. But you ARE one busy girl ! Thank you again for being such a great voice for the missing. The work you do already is incredible!

If you joined the land of Twitter I would follow you. That being said, I pretty much check out Charley every day anyway.

This is funny because I was going to ask you about opening a Facebook page the other day. I actually am a stock options day trader and have plenty of time on my hands once done with trading (usually around 12:00 pm weekdays) and I wouldn’t mind at all updating cases on there. Facebook would be a great way to get cases known. I actually think Facebook would be better than Twitter due to the 140 max character limit in typing Twitter has. I agree with Lyndsie. I follow other people’s tweets, but I check out the Chrley Project nearly every day, along with your blog. Your blog is just a couple of clicks away for me.

    All the best

If I follow someone, I read their tweets. When I’m busy, I don’t read all of them, but I’d say about 95% of them.

I would follow you but really I only use my twitter accounts to promote contests and only read others incoming tweets while I’m using my account once a day.

I think you should use Twitter. You could set up twitterfeed to automatically post a tweet everytime you post a new blog entry.

Hey, I think it wuld be good idea for breaking news with missing people and those who have been found. Definitely help ful because you can get those updates to your phone without worrying, the other thing with twitter is you can make a post, and link it to your blog or to your page.
Just a good way to use social media to get the word out.

I am a Twitter fanatic, follow many,I make it a point to come to this site everyday. Twitter is bites of information,I believe Twitter would not do Charley justice. I love to spend hours reading about the MPs. Thank you so much for Charley. For these reasons please no Twitter.
