Make-a-List Monday: MPs from Africa

Unsurprisingly, this is a list of missing people who are originally from Africa. (A list of African countries can be found here.)

Just Africa, not sure where
Mohama Samsoudini Baba

Cote d’Ivoire
Irene Kouame

Ethiopia
Tigist Hailu

Kenya
Edwina Atieno Onyango
Eugene Bush Wekesa

Somalia
Muna Mahamud Haji

Sudan
Marceline Tolondo

As you can see, this is a pretty short list. The Charley Project features far more cases of people believed to be be IN Africa. Perhaps that is a list for another time.

Make-a-List Monday: People from Eastern Europe

I realize that what exactly constitutes “Eastern Europe” is pretty subjective. For this list I’m going to use the countries listed on About.com’s Eastern Europe page: Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia. This list is only for Charley Project MPs who were actually BORN in the aforementioned nations, and I don’t have people from every one of those countries. As per usual, I’ve probably missed a few.

Make-a-List Monday: Cars left at airports

This list was created by Carl Koppelman: Charley Project MPs whose cars were found abandoned at airports after they disappeared. Sometimes the MP walked out of their lives (or rather, flew out); more often someone wanted to make it LOOK like they walked out of their lives.

Make-a-List Monday: Casio Watches

I complete my series of wristwatch lists with Casio. My own watch is a Casio, a black Baby G. I got it as a birthday present in 2012. (Thanks, Justin!) They’re tough; you can literally run one over with a car and it’ll still work fine. So, MPs with their wrists adorned by a Casio:

Jonathan Aujay
David Michael Cunningham
Diane Jane Elmore
Charles Duane Gustafson
Richard Williams Hardie
Scott Lyons Jacobs
Julie Ann Weflen
Travis Jeremy Wilson

Make-a-List Monday: Timex Watches

Last week I did people last seen wearing Rolex watches — a brand synonymous with luxury. Today’s list is of people wearing Timex watches — a kind of “everyman” watch.

Amy Joy Wroe Bechtel
James T. Boozer
Samuel Norris Campbell
Charles Catlett
Robert Wayne Connor
Janet Gould deFelice (possibly)
Edward Sprenkle Dubbs
Porschette Charslyn Evans
Clara Marie Grunst
Leslie Allen Bruce Haynie
Nathan Richard Hiatt
Essie Margaret Hiett
Jeffrey Stewart Christian Immel
Tracy Marie Kroh
Marie Lopez
Cathy Hicks Parrott
Michael S. Pastor
Anne D. Manchester
Joseph McNiel
Ben Peeples
Frank Ray Santmyer Jr.
Joseph Sireci
William Schmidbauer
Katie Faye Sinclair
Judy Eileen Smith
Christopher Lee Stewart
Joyce Irene Walcott
Paul Cecil Worsham
George Robert Zelaya

Make-a-List Monday: Rolex Watches

This is, self-evidently, people who were wearing Rolex watches when they were last seen.

Carlos Vicente Carrillo
Michele Anne Harris
Charles Franklin Huff
Juan Carlos Mattos
Victor Leonard Richardson III
Kelson Ryanell Roby
Tiffany Louise Sessions
Edwin Collins Smith
Jerry Smith (maybe)
John Michael Spira
Raul Francisco Villarreal
Arthur James Warren Jr.
Lee Roy Young

Mr. Villarreal’s Rolex was 18-karat gold and two carats’ worth of diamonds, and he also had a gold medallion studded with 76 diamonds. That’s some serious bling; I have accompanying photographs. I have to wonder if he was robbed just for the jewelry.

Make-a-List Monday: February 29

Part of the idea for this list came from regular blog commenter and my friend Justin Jackson-Mann. He thought I could a run a list of people who disappeared on February 29, a date that only appears on our calendar every four years. It’s a very short list but the idea was so charming I decided to run it anyway. Because the list is so short, I’m actually making two lists, the second one being of people BORN on February 29.

February 29 Disppearances
Bruno Van Bavel
Damien Gregory Bowser
Juan Antonio Luna

February 29 births
Patricia Anne Osborn
Carla Kaylene Owens
Paresh Patel
Clarence Smith Sr.
Jerry Frances Yell

Make-a-List Monday: Blindness

A list of people who are blind or nearly so. I decided to exclude those who are blind in only one eye, since those people function almost normally, but did include people who are only legally blind without corrective lenses.

James Daniel Butler
Donald Richard Delaney
Landon Lee Deriggi
Judith A. Geurin
Gilbert Mark Gilman
Melody Ann Jones
Patricia Louise Kelley
Joe David Key
Norvel Ronert Nelson III
Jeffrey Daniel Osborne
Carlo Pfaff
Tony Jhon Pineda
Casey Alexander Ragan
Raymond Scott Rupp

Make-a-List Monday: Autism

This list is of people on the autism spectrum, which includes autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and pervasive developmental disorder (PDD). The most current psychiatric parlance is to lump all those conditions under the term “autism spectrum disorder.” Given how common the condition is (and how often it goes undiagnosed) chances are pretty good there many more people on Charley who are autistic and I just don’t know it.

Allison Taylor Bayliss
Samuel Savage Becker Boehlke
Daniel Patrick DeSimone
Donald Leo Dietz (possibly)
Oded Gordon
Gary Dale Finck
Emanuel Ocampo
Gordon Thomas Page Jr.
Zev Ephaim Patt
