According to the NCMEC poster, Rebecca Rathstone ran away on October 17, 2006, when she was twelve years old. According to the Santa Clarita Valley Nonprofit News Center, the date of disappearance is September 15, 2008, making her fourteen. The Cali DOJ also has her listed under the September 2008 date. Pretty huge discrepancy.
5’7 is very tall for a twelve-year-old, but it’s kind of tall for a woman, period. Rebecca doesn’t look twelve in the pictures, but it’s difficult to tell the ages of people, especially when they’re in adolescence and trying hard to look older.
I think a phone call is in order.
UPDATE: The September 2008 date of disappearance is correct. Rebecca’s brother ran in October 2006 and Jerry Nance reckons the person writing the poster got confused and put that as Rebecca’s date of disappearance as well. Her brother is still missing, but he’s turned 18 and is no longer on the NCMEC.

From the looks and age I am 99.99% sure the myspace page is Rebecca Rathstonet. She is online now.
I called the NCMEC with a tip regarding Rebecca in March 2009, granted it was a bizarre tip/occurence. They were like so what do you want us to do? I called all the numbers listed on the poster as well. No one did anything and they all acted disinterested. I guess you have to physically have the person for them to do anything. I was pretty amazed with the inaction of the autorities.
I have leads as to where she might be. though more investigating needs to be conducted. Contact me if you need the info.
I talked to someone at the NCMEC about it. He says they’re monitoring the myspace page. I think they know where Rebecca is and it’s just that no one has picked her up yet.

Last December and again in March 2009 this unusual older man (last name Rumple) came in to a Chandler, AZ headshop acting strnagely. On both occasions he talked about Rebecca, saying this young gal looked like Rebecca and that she could be her too. He handed over a NCMEC flying with various info hand written on the flier, including his name He proceeded to say he has lots of property and money. LAst time I asked he hadn’t been back to the headshop.
I suspect Rebecca is in Maricopa County or Pinal County right down the road.
It will be interesting to see how this developes and what, if anything, comes of it. Glad it’s not my daughter.
Leave this girl alone, I know her. She ran away cause her moms boyfrien was trying to do dirty things to her and he was saying hes going to kick her ass and her mom didnt care at all. Seriously I find it creepy that you guys are like stalking her case.
Um, she is listed as missing. This blog is for people who are interested in, and look for, missing persons. This is why we are talking about her.
If only people knew the real story. The only story they have heard is what her mother has said. She could be lying. Why do you think her son ran away in October and her oldest daughter a couple years before that?.. That kinda tells you somethings strange, dont you think?
Possibly, but runaway juveniles are at risk of being further abused on the streets. That is why there is concern for their welfare no matter what happened at home.
first off she doesnt live on the streets, she lives with people who are takeing very good care of her, and
who actully treat her right. seeing STARNGERS say things like this on a website not even knowing the real story and whats actully going on is just plain pathatic,
you people dont clearly care that the poor girl was being sexually harrased by her mother boyfriend who is always doing drugs and attemping to sell to her & her friends and when the friend and rebecca say no he insists or he will “do bad things to them and make them regret it” also “stalking” her even though the cops are looking for her is straight up CREEPY. so all you creepers keep trying but you wont succeed(:
How on earth are we “stalking” her? I Googled her name. That is all. I Google every missing person’s name before I post them on my website. And what have we said about her that’s bad? She’s missing. She ran away from home. That’s all we’ve said — and those things you admit yourself. When someone’s face is on a missing person poster, people are going to talk about it. That’s one of the consequences of running away from home.
If you look at my site you’ll see I post all kinds of missing people, including runaways, and do not discriminate. And I post about all kinds of cases on this blog, and people discuss them. I’m certainly not going to remove a runaway person from my site, or pull their blog post, just because someone claims she was mistreated at home and is better off now.
Well, it looks like Rebecca is no longer on either the NCMEC or CDOJ missing persons websites, so she has either been recovered or her case has been closed. Since she is a minor, then I’m guessing she has been recovered.
