MP of the week: Angel Rose Avery

This week’s featured missing person is Angel Rose Avery, a 35-year-old woman who disappeared from Kennett, Missouri on September 1, 2018. Hers is a “few details are available” case; I know nothing else about the case. I was able to snag a few additional photos of her from social media.

If still alive, Angel would be 37 today.

It was reported that Kingsport John Doe in Kentucky, has been identified as Jerry David Holbert, (64) of Charleston, West Virginia. He suffered from dementia. He was identified after a Patty Williams Childress, a genealogist noticed the similarities between the description of the John Doe, and the NamUs page for Mr. Holbert.

He was found dead in the Holton River, in the Kingsport area.

Also, the Pecos Police Department in Pecos, Texas, is working with NCEMC, to try an identify a young woman, who was found dead in a motel swimming pool in 1966. She and a male had registered as a married couple, but he bailed after she was found in the pool. The Pecos Police are funding most of the cost, but are seeking donations.

I knew Angel. I was her public defender on a misdemeanor within a couple years of her disappearance. I pray she is alright and left for better pastures. Law enforcement is a joke in the bootheel, so if it were foul play, I’d doubt her case would ever be solved as I doubt Kennett PD are even looking…
