The interview was quite awhile ago and I barely remember it, but the article has come out: Why people of color get less attention than whites when they go missing. This Cape Cod Times article talks about the issue of missing people of color and brings up several such cases from the local area, some of whom are on the Charley Project and some who haven’t been missing for long enough to be on there.
It’s quite a well-researched article, not just saying it cause they interviewed me for it.
Off topic:
I saw you updated Diana Munyon’s entry, maybe to add the info that dentals aren’t available? That makes sense. A few years back I submitted her as a possible match for a Jane Doe listed on Doe Network (http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/13uffl.html). There are several aspects that fit very well. A Doe Network representative contacted me to say that someone else had already sent them the suggested match and it had been turned over to law enforcement. But that was a few years ago, so I kept an eye open to see if that Doe case was ever listed as solved and if Diana was a match, but it hasn’t happened.
