Hey guys, the Charley Project is asking you for something: three dollars.
For three dollars a month, less than the price of a McDonald’s milkshake, you can help maintain one of the largest, most detailed missing persons databases online, a major tool for getting the information out there about cold cases.
If everyone who viewed the Charley Project on a daily basis donated just three dollars each month, that would be enough that the administrator could keep it as a full-time job and not have to cut back on missing persons work.
In exchange, this important tool can still be used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world, including law enforcement, journalists, podcasters, missing persons’ families, bloggers, amateur sleuths, and more.
If you can only afford to give two dollars or one dollar, that’s fine. If you can give more, terrific—any amount is appreciated.
You can use PayPal to donate to administrator@charleyproject.org. If you go to any Charley Project casefile, the PayPal button is at the top. Type in the amount, check the box that says “make this a monthly donation” and follow the steps.
It’s very easy and very, very much appreciated.

Meaghan,with you getting all of these donations won’t hurt your social security benefits will it? But, come to think of it, this is better since you are now evidently able to work full time with all of this money paying you a great wage you will become a free working woman. And that will be so much better than being stuck on the government dole. I was just worried about you losing your benefits but now I am not sinse I thought it throo.

Has anyone checked out if this is a leg I ate site and have you researched that these funds you are sending are indeed going into this project. I would suggest you check it out or ask Meaghan for documented proof of legitimacy. My brother in law, an attorney suggested this. I smell a rat something is fishy.

Caro, all it takes is a brief perusal of this site and of these blogs over the years to know this is legitimate. You clearly had not done that.
You smell something fishy?? Have you just crawled from under a rock? The Charley Project is one of the most known missing persons websites there is. You should probably research before you comment such negative things that could potentially deter people from donating to such an important and very much needed project.

Yeah, it’s on my list. The problem is I’m not sure what to offer for rewards.
Just spitballing here – access to your list of “to add” cases and ability to request ones be moved higher on the list, ability to request (quicker) updates for one case a month or something. Ability to request themes of the month, ability to choose the featured cases.. I’m drawing a blank after that.

This could be true Rose Ann. Worked mental health 90s and we had a few people who were found at the bus depot by police & they would end up in hosp. B/C of HIPPA no info can be given from local mental health agencies or hosps. Probate Court possibly give info but I dont know about the change in laws. The hosp dont want to keep people now days. 3 days at most. Good luck in finding your missing loved one.

Okay so I just learned of all the work Meagan has been doing, and it’s kind of sick for people to question legitimacy for something that’s been being run for a while now. Three dollars a month is less than any of you have ever paid a month ever. Money is a little tight right this moment but Meagan in about a month or so you can count me in for 15 a month.
