More details in Scott Coville case

I found this article that provides more details in the 1988 murder of Scott Coville. His wife, Jane, admitted that she shot him in bed and dismembered his body with an ax. It was probably incinerated. Jane has pleaded to second-degree murder. She could face up to 99 years in prison.

Shooting a guy who’s asleep in bed is COLD.

Plea deal in Scott Coville murder case

Scott Coville disappeared from Sitka, Alaska back in 1988. Early this year, his wife Jane (referred to in media accounts as Jane Limm or Jane Reth) was charged with his murder. Well, this article from the Anchorage Daily News is all I can find: as of last week, Jane has agreed to plead guilty to second-degree murder.

The sentencing hearing is in late November; Jane could get up to 99 years in prison. Hopefully more info about the case will come out then; I don’t have many details.

Illinois woman accused in 1988 Alaska murder

According to the Juneau Empire, a woman, Jane Reth, has been indicted for killing her husband, Scott M. Coville, in Alaska in 1988. An Illinois TV station says she now lives in that state. This case is of interest to me because Mr. Coville’s body has never been find — making him a candidate for placement on the Charley Project. The couple had only been married for a few months, according to yet another article. They married in late 1987; he was reported missing in April 1988.

If only I could find a picture. Maybe one will appear as the case progresses.
