MP of the week: Krista Lueth

This week’s featured missing person is Krista Robin Lueth, who was last seen in Lansing, Michigan on November 11, 2008. She was 34 years old at the time, 5’4 and 125 pounds, and white, with brown hair, and blue eyes. She wears upper dentures and her ears are pierced. She has a tattoo of an infinity symbol in the small of her back, and a possible birthmark on her left upper arm.

Krista’s ex-boyfriend, Brad Cournaya, was charged with her murder in 2020. At the time, he was already in prison for sex trafficking a minor. He is still awaiting trial in the murder.

Krista’s remains have never been found. Obviously, though, foul play is suspected in this case.

What I don’t understand about Krista Lueth is how and why she chose to become romantically involved with such an obviously creepy, loathsome person.

Exactly the same thoughts I had. Here is a nice looking educated person that gets involved with what sounds like a real creepy character.

She may not have known the extent of his criminal history and/or criminals are good at lying.

I have a vague conjecture about what happened to Kaitlyn Abree Ledbetter.

I think she might have been murdered by her father, during a fit of rage. Her father told the cops that he had been arguing with his wife when Kaitlyn “ran away.” He gave this explanation because some neighbor had overheard the loud voices, and he needed to give the cops an innocent explanation of those loud voices. He counted on his wife (Kaitly’s stepmother) to back up his account. When their marriage started to collapse — presumably it had been crumbling for quite some time — he incapacitated his wife and burned their house down with her inside of it. She was going to go to the cops and tell them what really happened to Kaitlyn, so he killed her.
