I’ve been pretty sure Olisa Williams‘s dad killed her for a decade and a half now. Like, since before the Charley Project was ever even a thing. I never expected the case to actually get solved, though.
Well, 39 years after the fact, Isiah Williams has finally been charged with one count of open murder. “Open murder” doesn’t mean he committed the crime in public or anything. It just means they aren’t picking a specific degree of murder, like first- or second-degree murder.
The Michigan Attorney General did a press conference about the case and another, unrelated case, an hour ago, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot that’s publicly available about the case against Isiah. It does say Olisa’s body has not been recovered. I’m not sure there’d be anything left of the poor baby by this point. (The comments at the bottom of the press conference link aren’t about Olisa’s case but about the other one being discussed. Plus some bonus homophobia thrown in.)
I hope the case processes through the system quickly. Isiah is not getting any younger.

Right on! I hope he gets the book thrown at him and we finally learn what became of that sweet little baby. That poor girl. Even before I knew the truth nature of her disappearance, the whole “taken while her father slept on a porch bench” past scenario greatly angered me. I’ll never know what possesses a parent to do this to a child, especially if there’s another, willing parent still left in the picture. My heart breaks for her. Her few, scant pictures even resembled me as a baby.
The case always reminded me of the Shawn White case: two Black babies under a year old taken by their scumbag “fathers” and likely killed to hurt/manipulate the left-behind mothers and both their APs are composites (weird, and I know you don’t do the Make-a-lists anymore, but can you still make one of all the composite APs on Charley?)
I don’t understand what you mean by “composite AP” versus an AP that isn’t.
It’s actually labeled “composite”. It’s often done with missing children that are babies, have a really poor quality of their photos or no photo available at all (likely due to being a newborn, like Marlene Santana and Raymond Green).
I hate to hear what the fate this child appears to be.Here’s another mystery involving children that we might see an end to. The Nguyen vehicle was recently found upstream from where the casino’s are in Rising Sun, Indiana. No word on if human remains were found for the 2 children and their mother. Two NV case updates (apologies if these were already presented or discussed):
1. Re: Ruby Estelle Dorman from Nevada, I found a document from the County Clark, NV Coroner that says her remains were found on 6/9/06 (well skull was found then additional remains found later on) and identified as Ruby on 4/14/08 via DNA.
Document says investigation by LE in progress (I guess they’re still looking for the daughter?) (see pg. 11 on the pdf for her ID info). No other media found.

2. Arrest in another NV case; CherlLyn Beardall. Her remains have sadly not yet been found, to my knowledge, but her boyfriend, Philip Mathew O’Reilly, was arrested early last month (September 2021) for her murder. “O’Reilly faces a murder charge and two counts of child abuse or neglect. According to a court indictment, O’Reilly is accused of beating Beardall to death sometime between July 20 and July 23, 2020.”

Also, I believe this is Ruby’s daughter Juliann White – she was recently arrested in Florida in 2019 for trespassing & also left weird comments on a Led Zeppelin fb including her own phone number in 2014 saying she lived in CT and calling herself the holy Madonna (the fb comments & pic leads me to believe the FL mugshot is hers since the pics match and she wrote books on them, comments affirm that)
