So forget everything I said a little bit ago. Turns out the “device for detecting DNA in soil” is a lot of hooey.
Had it NOT been a lot of hooey, it WOULD have been a game-changer, and I’m afraid I got so excited about the possibility that I didn’t actually bother to investigate what this thing consisted of.
This is me right now:
Gina Hall’s sister clearly believes in it, and posted a comment (at the bottom of this page that I linked to before) defending Dr. Vass and saying he found Gina. But now I wonder if that scrap of bone that they found and said was Gina’s was ever actually scientifically confirmed to be hers. Based on what I’ve read about this device, it probably was not.
And I’d already resolved her case and everything.
Take the hair shirt off, Meaghan. Typing while wearing one of those has got to hurt, and as far as I’m concerned. the good you do has earned you a dispensation. Besides, people who ought to know better than you could have been expected to have been sucked in since time immemorial by charlatans like Vass.
Don’t know if you’re old enough to remember the Quadro Tracker or not but I’m glad it was exposed before someone ended up doing time on a bad rap based on its “evidence”-and it still burns me up that the real perps walked.
Remember, if it sounds too good to be true…
I feel bad for Gina’s sister. The poor woman wants to find her soooo bad.
Jennifer Long’s killer Wesley Purkey was executed today, July 16, 2020. Jennifer has been missing for 22 years, since 1998, from Kansas City, Missouri. http://charleyproject.org/case/jennifer-long
Hi Meaghan, you wrote an article about the disappearance of Ruth Egnoski, is there a way I can contact you?
I have a friend who has a missing loved one and was contacted by him/his team within the past two years. She also gave her nail clippings and I believe a hair sample. I won’t mention the case or state but will see if she would like to speak on this herself.
