This week’s featured missing person is William Ray Chapman, who disappeared from Wichita, Kansas on December 8, 2008. He was 24 years old.
William would definitely stand out in the crowd: openly gay, he sometimes wore makeup and wigs and went by the name “Vanity Vuitton.” (I’m thinking he went out in drag, though that’s not entirely clear.) He enjoyed going to LGBT clubs, video blogging, and making music. Some of the photos of him show him with his hair dyed bright red.
There is little information on Chapman’s disappearance, though one inevitably wonders about a hate crime; Kansas isn’t the most gay-friendly place in the world. He would be about 35 today, if he’s still alive.
OT, you may have already seen this (on I Did It For Jodie or another source): Benedetta Bentley has been found and identified:
https://chicago.suntimes.com/2019/10/22/20927234/benedetta-beth-bentley-body-identified-missing-woodstock-jefferson-county-amtrak-centralia
I find it interesting that just admit that her remains were found almost two years ago. I guess it took all this time to identify her. Now, I wonder if they have any investigative leads. Hopefully the states attorney in that neck of the woods, will fully prosecute.
We have problems with the present states attorney in Cook/Crook County, when it comes to prosecuting criminal offenders. We have to depend on the U.S. Attorney’s for the Northern District of Illinois to charge offenders on gun crimes. But, they have stronger laws then on Illinois.

Beth Bentley found.
Another article mentions that she told her family she was going to Wisconsin with her friend. Instead the two of them went to Mount Vernon, Illinois and met up with her friend’s boyfriend and some other people. Supposedly the friend claimed she dropped her off at the Amtrak station.
That’s nice they ride together and then the friend supposedly has her take the train back to Woodstock. Makes me wonder a bit.
Another OT, update on the Deborah Deans case:

One more OT, the man linked to the disappearance of Isabel Palacios has been charged with a 1980s cold case rape/murder of a 13 year old girl:

Now, the best news but now that missing woman family in North Carolina, now knows what happened to their loved one. It make me wonder what forced the tipster to pass along their information. At least the information led to her recovery and an arrest.
