MP of the week: Beverly Ward

This week’s featured missing person is Beverly Ann Ward, a 13-year-old girl who vanished from her bedroom in Junction City, Kansas in the middle of the night on Independence Day, 1978. She was gone by the early morning hours, and is presumed to have been abducted by an intruder who climbed in through the window.

Hate to say this, but Junction City has never had the best reputation despite being the home of Fort Riley and the Big Red One-and I fear that as a result our dear Beverly is, as you like to put it, still 13.

And with regard to another missing Kansan, Megan Foglesong’s (http://charleyproject.org/case/megan-renee-foglesong) erstwhile boyfriend won’t be telling any tales now:

Another family whose chance for truth and closure may be forever gone. How sad.

I am not surprised Madden came to a bad end, but it does throw a monkey wrench in the investigation.
