Yeah, I said updates would return as normal. Then I went to a dental appointment, at my dentist’s insistence, to get a broken tooth fixed. This was not, in my opinion, necessary, that tooth had been broken for fifteen years with no problem, but my dentist kept asking me to get it done.
I’ve been feeling horrible ever since. I guess while my mouth was numb from the lidocaine I chewed on my lip and hurt it pretty badly. Now I have this very painful infection going on there. I can’t eat, I can barely drink or talk, and my mouth hurts all the time.
I hadn’t thought an infection in my lip would make me feel this bad, but it has. These past several days I’ve barely gotten out of bed. I’ve been sleeping a lot.
I am taking antibiotics and the infection IS getting better, as evidenced by photos I’ve taken of myself, but it seems to be more painful every day. I’ve been gulping OTC pain pills and using some prescription mouthwash that’s supposed to numb the mouth. It’s helping a little.
Anyway. I feel like crap.
From what you are saying it sounds like you are healing, surely though slowly. Sorry you are going through this and so many other things you’ve been through. Many are praying for your safe return to your normal life.
Janny covered this succinctly. We hope you are able to find better health in the coming days. Months. Years. We need you to be able to continue making the world aware of our missing. We send you vibes of good will ❤️
Meaghan, maybe this will make you feel better. An article in The Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper dated October 20, 2018, titled “Macon: Woman charged in teen’s 1991 disappearance”. The story is about the arrest of Melinda McSwain, in the kidnapping of Sabrina Leigh Long.
Well, the article mentions “The Charley Project”, which profiles cold case around the country, and mentions a short summary of the material you had posted on Sabrina’s case.
Well, that’s always good news!
I had my teeth cleaned recently. Before then, I was drinking four litres of water a day to try and stop the pain. I wanted to smash my jaw with a hammer.
Meaghan, are you inoculated against tetanus?
Yup.
I’m relieved. That didn’t sound good at all. I hope you feel better soon.
I’m a bit better today. I’m able to drink a bit, and I learned the trick of smearing grease (in the form of Dr. Naylor’s Udder Baum) on my lips to soften them. My lower lip is still very swollen but that huge scab on my lip is almost all sloughed off.
I try to avoid touching the actual infected spot, as it’s very very sore, but I inspect it every day and it’s gotten kind of watery looking, which I think is a good sign. Thank goodness for modern antibiotics!
