National Hispanic Heritage Month: Gabriel Martinez

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month I’m featuring a Hispanic missing person every day from September 15 to October 15. Today’s case is Gabriel Martinez, age 19, who disappeared from Corpus Christi, Texas on August 25, 1999. His left ear is pierced and he may have a tattoo on his right wrist.

Martinez’s car turned up in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Holly Road. By the time this was reported, it had been there for weeks. Although it’s uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning, he may have been involved with a gang when he went missing.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like there’s been any news about his case in years. If still alive, Gabriel would be 38 today.

Do these apartment complexes have management and security staff? How come that an abandoned vehicle sits there for weeks without anyone reporting it?
