Perhaps tomorrow…

I’m very sorry I haven’t updated in a week. I’ve felt so horrible. My throat was raw from puking and the stomach scope tube. I tried to learn to eat again. It was so painful.

Just when I was starting to maybe feel human again, it was Thursday and I had to stop eating to prep for Friday morning’s colonoscopy. Nothing solid for the entire day prior to the procedure.

So I had that done this morning. And they found nothing. Not even Jimmy Hoffa. And my throat is still raw and I am still feeling weak and sick and quite horrible.

I have lost ten pounds. And between the illness and the procedures of this week I’ve not had my medicine in like seven, maybe eight days. Last night I was watching Frozen and weeping, overcome by melancholy.

I had arranged for a gyno appointment on Friday to look into the theory that my sickness is caused by some female problem. I will have to cancel it. The gastroenterologist has scheduled another procedure that will take most of the day Friday. They will feed me radioactive food and see how fast it goes through my system. See if I’m digesting food as I should.

I am going to try to start my medicine again tomorrow. I just feel so discouraged and desolate and I do not know how much of this is because I’m off my medication and how much is because I’ve been so horribly ill and no one knows why.

I am going to try to resume work on Charley tomorrow as well. I know no greater consolation.

Meaghan, the fact that you can find a smidgen of humor in the middle of your health issues is amazing (Jimmy Hoffa… hysterical). You are a very strong person. We are all hoping you get some answers and relief very, very soon!! Thank you for all that you do!

Before they put me out they asked if I had any questions. I said, “Do I get my choice of hamster?”

So frustrating when you just want to feel better. Sending healing thoughts your way.

Meaghan, sending you some hugs. So sorry that you are going through this. Hope they figure it out finally and get the remedy that will help.

If gallbladder, pancreas, and kidneys have been ruled out, no suspicion of celiac, gluten, or lactose issues, not related to your RX, have they considered a vector related illness?

Healing thoughts, may you have relief soon

Since I am Irish, I recommend a pint of Guiness every day until the problem goes away. It’s the breakfast of champions.

Please get better because Charley needs you. Otherwise, we will have that secretive True Crime guy to come out of hiding and take over. We don’t that.

I’m sorry you’re still so sick. Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water so you don’t get dehydrated. Really hope the gastric emptying test finally gives you some answers.

    Yay!
    We got updates
    No more little cupcakes!

Not much though. The medicine I take, when you’re not used to it, causes fatigue and drowsiness. I’m struggling to get used to it again. This too shall pass…

I have relatives with many variant forms of migraine, including cyclic vomiting syndrome and abdominal migraine. In adult women the menstrual cycle seems to be a not uncommon monthly trigger. It’s a really shitty disorder made worse by the absence of a standard treatment. Instead you end up throwing darts everywhere and hoping something, anything does the trick. I hope you get some relief soon.

I had migraine headaches as a child.

Saw my regular doctor today. On the notion that my vomiting is hormone related, she’s put me on the Pill.

    Hello,
It sounds like you may have a condition called Gastroparesis. The test you are having sounds like a gastric emptying study. By the hour after eating the marker food they take an image to measure the contents inside the stomach. by that over the four hours they can tell right off if this is what you are fighting because it will show if you are processing the food correctly or not.
Gastroparesis is often a diabetic associated problem.
Get good medical care. Research your doctors. Many are not familiar.
Above all else I wish you luck and courage to walk this road.
    All best Cynthia

By the way your best bet is to look up the best group of all information.
Established by a patient 30 years ago as a beacon of hope for all gastrointestinal diseases.
Tha Association of Gastrointestinal and motility disorders. Located in Lexington, Mass.
They have a website loaded with information.
I attended a medical conference they hosted. It changed my life.
A long road until I found good doctors.
As well as the correct knowledge I so needed. Best of luck!
Ask for Maryangela at the association.
    She is the best.

I was just checking in on my cousin who had been missing since 2011 April.
Her name is Deborah Ann Hubbert.
She went missing from Concord Ca.
Seven years now so I check in to note anything new. No news. But, thank you For keeping this site up and running.
    Cynthia
