So NamUs 2.0 has been launched and I have to say, I personally like the improvements a lot. It’s nice to have everything on one page, for example, instead of having to keep clicking through multiple sections. You can search for more than one state at a time.
Best of all, you can now follow more than 50 cases! I’ve spent the last day or so going through cases just following them. It’s going to take awhile obviously. But being able to follow more cases is just great for me.
I like the look of the new format, and I agree, it’s easier to read without having to click different tabs. I especially like not having to scroll down in the circumstances field to be sure I’ve read the whole entry.
However, two of the biggest things I use it for appear to no longer be possible. I can’t see if DNA or dentals are available, and I can’t search by Date Entered to look at recently added cases.
Are you guys using namu 2.0 from an actual computer or from a tablet or phone? I only have a phone and tablet and although I like the new features, I don’t think it’s very friendly for mobile devices. Oh well, maybe I just need to play around with it.
Sorry, one more thing. Do you guys register for an account? Can anyone get an account? I’ve just been browsing as a guest. I have no affiliation with any organizations it’s more just an interstate of mine so I’m not sure if I would
Be allowed to get an account.
Anyone can sign up for an account, but you don’t need one for most things. I have one but only login when I need to enter a case.
There’s no difference when it comes to searching or reading.
I thought you would like to know Wayne Chapman is set to be released after 40 years. This makes me so upset.

If you get a petition going, I will sign it. So scary if he is released.
