Asian Pacific American Heritage Month: Tilana Williams

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, I am profiling one Asian or Pacific Islander MP for every day of the month of May. Today’s case is Tilana Catarina Williams, a 20-year-old who disappeared from Auburn, Washington on July 1, 2014.

This is another case about which I know nothing about the circumstances of her disappearance. I did find this Google Plus account and this MySpace that I think might be hers; the photos resemble her, but I’m not sure and I certainly don’t want to accidentally use pictures that are of someone else.

If Tilana is alive — and I’ve find nothing to suggest she is not — she would have turned 25 last week. If that MySpace is hers, she may go by the nickname Lana.

If anyone happens to see this blog who knew Tilana, I invite them to comment below or shoot me an email.

https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/jarib-bennett-obituary?pid=183910517&view=guestbook I just found this obituary which seems to match up strongly with the Jarib Bennett from this case, they’re both listed as having the same birthdays, both living in the same state, having two daughters,… etc. This really sounds like it’s him. I wonder if they just went missing briefly and they forgot to not classify as him as a missing person anymore.

I just read that NamUs launched version 2.0, today. It is supposed to be sleeker, faster, more secure.

It also includes a mapping function down to a specific street address. It also may help link similar cases.

It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

Alex, it seems to be a good fit. Their is a mention of a step-daughter, which may be the other daughter that Sasha Davis had besides Selah.

So, what happened to Sasha Davis. Was this supposed trip a way to have Sasha disappear for some unknown reason.

So, it makes me wonder who reported them missing. So he comes back and no one tells the police that he is not missing.

    Something is rotten in Denmark.

I went to high school with Tilana (Lana is what we called her). I found out in 2016 that she went missing, and now every once in awhile I’ll google for her to see if any new information has come up. I’m glad to see she is still being looked for in 2018. She was seriously a great person, and I hope she makes her way home soon 《3
Also, the Myspace is hers, as well as the google account. Thought I’d confirm that.

I’m her mother and I can confirm she is still missing, we have not heard nor seen her since July 2014. We’ve been questioned by police and US Marshals, I’ve supplied dental information when unidentified bodies have been found. We as a family have been torn apart by this. I have faith that she will come home..
