So someone sent a message to the Charley Project’s Facebook page to say that Cleveland Hill, who is the prime suspect in the disappearances of Margaret Dash, Retha Hiers and Donyelle Johnson, has died. He was never charged in any of the women’s cases.
I found an obituary for a Cleveland Hill Jr. who died last month, but I don’t think it’s the right one, as the state is wrong and so is the date. My informant (who might be a relative of Hill’s; they have the same surname) says he died earlier this week in Virginia.
So consider this info unconfirmed, but I don’t have any particular reason to doubt it.
Hill was totally a serial killer. NO ONE is so unlucky that not one, not two, but three of their girlfriends disappear without a trace and under suspicious circumstances over a fifteen-year period. And Hill had a documented history of violence; he did time for assault after he shot his wife and mother-in-law.

Maybe I will send a few messages to media in the area to see if anyone is interested. If an obituary is published online, a FOIA request with FBI is plausible. Considering that this guy is suspected in disappearances in multiple states, I would assume there is a file on him somewhere.
My husband and I bought the land next door to Cleveland Hill Jr. in Appomattox, Va. last August. He was the prior owner before it was foreclosed on. When we visited the land in October of 2017, there were numerous dog pens with at least 6 Rottweilers. It was a bit scary and we became concerned so we checked into who owned them and their history, hence how we became aware of this mans history in Florida. We had not visited the property again until March 17th this year in which we took inlaws to see the land. We were taken aback because a large Rottweiler was running free and although it seemed friendly, was still LOOSE. We saw no people about. We left immediately and did not go back until yesterday (4/11/18 with our guns in tow this time). All the dog pens were empty and no vehichles were in drive as before. The house looked deserted. I told my hubby it looked like Hill had moved or died.
I will check with local police and etc. to see what more I can find out.
There is so much more I found out about this person and more that I suspect but this is not the place to discuss it. Needless to say, I am the mother of a murdered son and I was very concerned about living next to this man.
Mr.Hill was a Great Man. He was always good to everyone. I never feared him for one minute and he was great to our little ones.

Please tell us. Margaret Dash was my grandmother whom I never had the opportunity to meet (my father was her son). My dad was murdered back in 2007 3 days before I gave birth to my daughter. He never had any closure. Her youngest daughter, my aunt, passed in March, still with no closure. PLEASE HELP!!!

I found a minister in Richmond, Virginia going by the name Bishop Cleveland L. Hill of the New Beginning Tabernacle Ministries. There is one video on youtube of him giving a sermon ( https://www.facebook.com/ron.johnson77/videos/10153493480731010/ ).
This may be a different Cleveland Hill… but I think it’s worth a look. If you do a google search and youtube search for his churchs name or search “Bishop Cleveland L. Hill” you’ll find him.
I have since verified that the possible serial killer Cleveland Hill is dead. I don’t know if he was a minister; I certainly hope not.

I am the oldest daughter of Margaret Dash and it has been confirmed that Cleveland Hill Jr. is dead. He was living in Virginia and it’s my understanding this is where he died. My Mother’s case is still unresolved. Cleveland was given a chance before he died to give my family closure concerning my Mom and he declined. I know this because the detectives working on my Mom’s case flew to his home in Virginia to give him a chance to confess advising they knew he was dying they just wanted closure for families involved but he would not cooperate. I always knew he was the DEVIL himself but he knew he was dying and refused to tell the truth. As my niece said in a different post my brother and youngest sister have passed on without any closure. I do know God will have the final say concerning Cleveland Hill Jr.

I am a ex wife to his Grand son…. The whole family has issues with those demons… I was told by on of his children that he ground the lady’s up and fed them to his dogs…. He owned the local meat market in largo Florida… The whole family sick… 😢😢😢
you Married what grandson because he has none that are married being that I am the second grandchild I would know you people get on her with your comments about my grandfather but he was never charged never he did his time for his crimes and it’s not murder T prelop did you make kids with cleve grandson before or after you heard the stories lier I hate people like you show me proof before you speak I forgot you can’t because the police didn’t have any
