Some recommended reading for you

I’ve just updated their cases so you can read about the sordid story of missing stepdad and stepdaughter Gary McCullough and Liehnia Chapin on Charley.

However, I highly recommend you check you the really wonderful two-part series on the case: After 10 years missing, is Lena Chapin still alive? and Cover-up, confession and what remains of Lena Chapin.

It is an absolutely awful and somewhat convoluted tale, and an excellent piece of investigative reporting on the part of the Salem News. Good job, guys!

Poor Lena. Poor Gary. I had kind of a deer-in-the-headlights feeling as I read what what down.

I found some information about Rebecca Jane Alsup case, according to her Go Fund Me page, she was isappeared 2/17/17 from the home of her boyfriend, she recently had to have both legs amputated and also has a pacemaker, she has medication that she needs daily in order to live, she has 2 small boys who have no idea their mom is missing,

I knew she had little kids and I knew about the meds but didn’t know about the pacemaker. Duly noted.

Meaghan, in today’s update section, the link for Beth M. Johnson is actually direct to the case of Jamie Lee Hoaglan

The worst thing about this terrible tale is that Lena’s mother won. She won. She got away with 2 murders, married again, protected by most of her children, and now raising Colter as her own. It’s cases like this that make me hope that karma is real and will be coming for her.

I know, it’s absolutely awful. There is no justice in this case. And Colter would be 13 or so now, reaching that difficult adolescent stage. I hope he makes it out alive.

You have to wonder just how charming this witch is, that she convinced FIVE men to marry her.

How I’d love to see this case featured on an episode of Small Town Murders someday. But for that you need a conviction.
