MP of the week: Kevin McClam

This week’s featured missing person is Kevin Lamont McClam, who disappeared from Goose Creek, South Carolina on March 30, 1997, just days before his fifteenth birthday.

The circumstances of his disappearance are a bit strange to say the least. His clothes were found scattered along the road near a construction site, and a witness reported seeing him walking nearby, wearing only sneakers and boxers, “alone and not under duress.”

As in the Wojciech Fudali case, I just don’t understand this. If I saw a man or a teenage boy walking down the street almost naked, I think I’d call the police or at least ask him if he was okay. But I haven’t found any evidence that the witness actually interacted with Kevin.

There are two suspects in Kevin’s disappearance, both of whom would have been in their teens at the time. The police are pretty sure Kevin was murdered, but no one has ever been charged in his case.

There is some belief that he was playing one of the games. Also his family was in the military stationed at a major military weapons facility. The facility has a number of underground tunnels and bunkers. Supposedly they have never been completely searched. I also would have contacted the police or him. But, how many people don’t want to get involved. They may have assumed that he haf some mental health issues.

I would probably call the cops. I might be afraid to approach the person myself, especially if it’s a man — what if they’re on drugs or psychotic and do me some harm you know? — but I would definitely call the cops and have them sort it out.

My mother says that when I was a toddler I slipped out of the house stark naked and went to play in the park, and a neighbor brought me home an hour or so later. My father, who would have been in charge of me at the time, says the incident never happened. Who knows?

I would definitely approach a woman, but never ever a man. Almost naked or naked man outside can be on drugs, a perv, or literally anyone not good for you. I would call the police, but then again, maybe they can’t make it on time.

Is the Navy in any way involved in this investigation?

NCIS is investigating the case cause Kevin was a Navy dependent.

That is great news! The two creeps weren’t even smart enough to keep their marriage together, so after the divorce, started running their mouths. They should be put in adjacent jail cells.

Wow! That is great news. I agree, I hope they can go after formal charges in this case.

I wonder if Mr. Goldin attracted someone attention with his vehicle. The other thing is that he is a bit old to be running around by himself looking for supposed buried treasure.

Also it does not appear that anyone has a clue where this treasure was supposedly buried at. I just have a problem with him just running off wily nily searching for buried treasure and no one has a clue.

Did he fall victim to a scheme targeting him, or other treasure hunters. Maybe he got caught by those federales with no stinking badges.
