Dag nabbit, it’s guesswork again

Writing up a case and she’s got tattoos. Her NamUs page mentions several, including “Right shoulder: Tiger Lilly”. Which gives me pause.

Because several species of lily are sometimes called “tiger lily” (note the spelling difference). There’s also a character in the Peter Pan book and Disney animated movie called Tiger Lily (again, spelled differently), and this MP has a Mickey Mouse tattoo, and that’s also a Disney character.

I believe this MP’s tattoo is neither of those and “Right shoulder: Tiger Lilly” means the WORDS “Tiger Lilly”, probably someone’s name. But that’s only an educated guess and I wish people would be more clear.

[EDIT:] Orrrr perhaps not. See this photo of her.

Who did the editing of crossing off your last paragraph or was that done by you, adding the photo?

Tiger Lily is a very old book, I have it, it’s about a Tiger who lives in Africa. Tiger Lily is the name the lead singer of INXS Michael Hutchence gave his daughter with Bob Geldof’s wife, Paula Yates, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, so yes it’s used as a name but in Hutchence case the book I am making reference about. I have Tiger Lily’s all over my garden they are the deep orange ones with six petals like a star and large stems that come out of the flower with a small sash or x at the end. Also associated with the Month of May. I often wonder when I see flower tattoos of the dead and missing, if it has to do w/ birth month like gem stones in rings.

These stories have made me think about how important it is to get photos of tattoos.

According to the website “Lost and Missing in Indian Country” she has the following tattoos: “written between her shoulder blades the words that spell “Lyrical”, “Trinity”, and “Mason.” (my guess, her children or siblings)

It then says that “she has a tattoo on her right calf of Mickey Mouse with a basketball, and a tiger lily on her right shoulder.”

It does not mention the tiger lily being spelled out and I think it’s a drawing of a lily.
