MP of the week: Shy’Kemmia Pate

This week’s featured missing person is Shy’Kemmia Shy’Rezz Pate, a beautiful eight-year-old girl who’s been missing from Unadilla, Georgia for nearly twenty years now: September 4, 1998. There hasn’t been a lot of news about this disappearance, but on the face of it it’s a non-family abduction — by who, they don’t seem to know.

The family has a Facebook page set up for the little girl, nicknamed ShyShy.

I have a suspicion that possibly the same person responsible for this girl’s disappearance is involved with the Asha Degree case as well. I don’t have anyone in mind, just that they are so similar physically and there are similarities in the circumstances, a bit. There is a woman who has a blog about Asha and I shared this idea with her and I think she said there might be a person of interest with ties to both locations, though I can’t say that is definite.

There is only passing mention in the case write up about the creepy girly club on their street and the high crime on that street. Makes me worried that a random ‘patron’ saw the little girl and took her. Was this angle investigated?

Just because some men enjoy going to these clubs – which I do find kind of weird – doesn’t mean they’re criminals. It sounds like she lived in a bad area, so the perpetrator could have been anyone.
