This week’s featured MP is from the District of Columbia: radio personality Bobby Joe Horn, who vanished on August 31, 1977. He was possibly involved in some pretty sketchy stuff and after his disappearance he was indicted for nonpayment of income taxes.
Horn’s former business partner claimed he heard Horn had gone to the Netherlands, running from the law or from the sketchy people he’d been associating with or both, but the guy does not sound like a credible witness to me.
For what it’s worth, the police believe he was murdered.
His business partner’s claim was so wired that it had to be lies, I would say Mr. Horn was deeply involved with some shady business, and eventually got himself killed
He could be in witness protection. Especially since there’s connections with Morris Levy and the Genovese Crime family.
Don’t think Feds would put someone in witness protection without putting them on the witness stand first, and in the street, “someone is going to witness protection” usually is a nicer way to say “someone is sleeping with fish”
Thanks for posting. It’s frustrating (and sad for those that knew him) to never have a definitive answer to what happened. I occasionally peruse blogs like yours hoping to find helpful information, and while I didn’t find anything new here, it’s nice to know that folks are still as curious as I am about him. -Eren, Bob’s granddaughter
I came across an UP #2281 I’m Nameus. I think they look similar. I could not find a height on Bobby Joe though. I did send an email to case worker on nameus.
