I was interviewed by Marli Kaufmann for The Scold, a small online magazine directed at women. Marli is an old friend of mine whom I met while we were both attending Hendrix College in Arkansas. She interviewed me by email in February. Initially she was going to write a regular article about the Charley Project, but she liked my interview answers so much that she decided to just post the whole thing as-is.
So check it out: Meet the Woman Who Catalogs the Missing, published on March 8.
Really wonderful interview! I have such respect for everything you do.
One question – might Garnell Moore’s height and weight be a typo? I have a 7 year old son myself, and he only weighs 52 lbs – no where near 5’3″ 120 lbs.
It’s not a typo, it’s what the NCMEC has for him. I think because he wasn’t reported missing for several years, they were going off the estimated height and weight for the age he would have been when he was reported missing. But I should probably remove it from his casefile, as it is a bit confusing.
Oh, ok – that makes more sense
