Hi Meaghan! Posting here because I’m having trouble getting into my e-mail account. I found a photo of Debra Lee Lansdell that’s of much better quality than the one you currently have. I also found out that one of your “few details are available in his case” guys from June 1971, William Ellis, pleaded no contest to his involvement in a bank robbery less than 1 1/2 months before he disappeared. The article is from The Daily Mail (a local paper!!) and is dated 04/23/1971.

Here are the articles for both: http://imgur.com/a/KB6a3

Hi Meaghan, this comment is not about this list but I can’t seem to send a message directly to you. Not sure why. It’s nothing major, just an idea I had after reading your update on the Teresa Butler case. Your entry mentions that “her wedding rings…were left behind. She normally took off her wedding rings every night before bed; the rings were found on the floor under the couch. ”

This makes me think that maybe she chose to sleep on the couch that night and took her rings off before going to sleep. So she put the rings on the coffee table or end table, and at some point when the offender was in the house and was focused on taking other items (they did have several things come up missing), she was maybe subdued or bound in the living room but was able to tuck her rings under the couch, in the hopes that they wouldn’t be stolen. It’s not much but it does seem to support the idea that there was a burglary motive, that she was accosted while sleeping, and that she was alert and able for at least some period of time after he came in.

Yeah, the police are thinking along the same lines.

It sounds like her disappearance was a burglary gone awry, like Tara Grinstead’s has turned out to be.

Did you ever make a list for women with cesarean section scars?
