This list is of teenagers and adult women (and one preteen, sigh) who were in the last trimester of pregnancy when they disappeared. If it’s uncertain how far along they were, I’ve included them in the list provided the upper end of the time frame is within the final trimester.
You’ll note how foul play is suspected in many of these cases. The most common non-natural cause of death in pregnant women in the United States is homicide. Plus, if you’re that far along, it’s not really the best time to just walk (waddle?) away from everything.

Happy Halloween, everybody.
I always wondered if Jan Cotta met up with her baby’s father the night she left and he murdered her. She wouldn’t name the father of her child, maybe he was married, or some prominent person who didn’t want a scandal.
Amanda Kay Jones. You just updated her case, she was 8 1/2 months……
Added. I’m surprised I missed her.
Bethany Decker is not on this list.
Her casefile says she was only 4 to 5 months pregnant. The third trimester begins in the 6th month.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Michelle Chan committed suicide.
That seems likely to me too. Fremont is only an hour and twenty minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, and if she jumped from there, that would explain why her body was never found.
There are 3 large bridges even closer than that to Fremont: the Dunbarton (about 10 miles from Fremont), the San Mateo and the Bay Bridge. If she jumped off any of those there is a good chance she wouldn’t be found either. Although I am not sure about the accessibility on those bridges for someone trying to walk up them. Is it wrong that anytime I hear that a depressed person goes missing in the Bay Area, my first thought is they jumped from a bridge? I really hope this isn’t the case and she turns up alive and well soon with a 17 year old, but unfortunately I agree with Forthelost about her being deceased.
The Golden Gate Bridge, perhaps because it’s a famous and beautiful bridge (and well known for suicides) gets many, many more jumpers than any other bridge in the SF Bay Area. There are many cases of people driving across other suitable bridges to jump off the GGB. If you’re a local and want to jump off a bridge, the GGB is usually the go-to place.
I just don’t think a pregnant chick would Juno off that bridge. There are pretty tall fences. It high enough to stop people from jumping, but I just can’t fathom a pregnant chick climbing over. Fremont is also right in the Sunol hills and other areas that could be possible. If she did commit suicide, I wouldn’t narrow it down to just there.
Wasn’t Debra Frost rumoured to be 5 months pregnant?
5 months is the second trimester, not the third.
Late possible addition, Diane Chorba. Her case has always been haunting. I remember on Cold Case Files or American Justice ten odd years ago her daughter still looking. So sad.
I find it strange in the Angelina Evans case that whether or not the baby found abandoned was her has not or could not be confirmed…seems like something they’d investigate and compare DNA.
