Chosen by Karine B., 23-year-old Robert Curtis Coe disappeared from Austin, Texas on March 12, 1978. He was a student at the University of Texas at Austin at the time, and lived with roommates at a duplex on Monroe Street. He was last seen walking away from his house.
The casefile notes that Robert suffered from depression, and the Texas DPS classifies him as “disabled.” I don’t know if his depression was that severe, or whether he had some other medical issue.
Unfortunately I really don’t know much about this case — I couldn’t find any articles in the newspaper archives — but foul play is suspected. If Robert is alive today he would be 61 years old.
