A question

I have got a question about NamUs that I hope someone will answer: why do they sometimes put up MP cases with no law enforcement contact number, or contact information of any description at all? I’m not talking about historical cases like from the twenties or something. I’ve seen this happen with recent cases too. This one, for instance. I’d like to post it on Charley but I can’t put up a case without LE contact (unless it’s a historic one that is).

Is there some specific reason or reasons to leave out LE contact information, or is it simply an oversight?

If you go to Contacts on that site, this is listed:

    Contacts
    Case Manager
    First Name
    Amy
    Last Name
    Dobbs
    Phone
    865-235-6523
    Regional Administrator
    First Name
    Amy
    Last Name
    Dobbs
    Email
    Amy.Dobbs@unthsc.edu
    Phone
    865-235-6523

    Would that be enough?

A Darrian H Burdine was arrested in Indiana on June 18, 2013, same day as date last seen for the missing person. Booked at Marion County Sheriff’s Office:
    http://jail.com/arrest-records/darrian-burdine-5283419

If this is the same person, maybe mention Marion County Sheriff’s Office and give their number?
    http://www.indy.gov/egov/county/mcsd/Pages/home.aspx

The Namus page has a mugshotty picture for Darrian but I can’t find the same picture on the mugshot arrest pages for Darrian Burdine (they have a blank where the picture normally is). Dragging it into Google Images gets a Missingin page but no mugshot page.

For others who weren’t arrested on the same day they were last seen, maybe give police contact of their home town or the town/city they were last seen in?

Maybe they’re not sure who’s in charge of the case?

I found out this info on Darrian Burdine: State of Indiana, County of Marion, SS: In the Marion Superior Court Juvenile Division/Courtroom #12 Cause No: 49D09-0903-JT-011162 In the Matter of: Darrian Burdine Notice is hereby given that the Marion County Department of Child Services, by its attorney, Jessica Krug, 4150 N. Keystone Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46205, has filed a complaint in the above cause, stating that Veronica Wyrick is a necessary party whose residence is unknown, this is an action to terminate the parent-child relationship and unless he/she appears in said Court and answer to the petition by the tenth day after the final publication date, a judgment by default may be entered against him/her for the relief requested in the complaint.

Also Darrian had a record as a juvenile for receiving stolen property in June 2013. She had her mother released from custodial care. There is a witness claiming that her boyfriend killed her.
