I got a lot of emails while I was gone, many related to the Charley Project, and haven’t had time yet to respond to them or otherwise act on them.
One in particular has grabbed my attention though, and for future reference I would like to ask you something:
DO NOT SEND ME A SERIES OF EROTIC PHOTOGRAPHS OF A BARELY-COVERED-UP WOMAN IN VARIOUS POSITIONS AND ASK ME IF I THINK SHE IS A CERTAIN MISSING PERSON. SERIOUSLY. JUST DON’T DO IT.
Not only am I, as I have said a zillion times before, not an appropriate person to send tips to, I really don’t like looking at pictures like that.

I’m not sure I understand. Is it one person sending these? Or a common practice by many people? Are they under the impression that all women in pornography/erotic photography are missing persons?
It was just one person who sent me six or seven photos in one email and asked if I thought the woman was a certain MP. And she DID strongly resemble that particular missing person, for what it’s worth, but how am I to know if it’s her or not? The camera wasn’t exactly aimed at her face after all.

If someone thinks they have seen a missing person, especially someone underage, being photographed in an erotic or pornographic manner the proper people to contact is the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
They have experts who can not only identify the person but the location the picture was taken.

The photographs were stolen. They were never intended to be released to the public. The case is currently under investigation and the person who sent these photographs was not authorized to do so.
What are you talking about? I didn’t show the pics to anyone else so how do you know which ones I am referring to?
