I am writing this on my cell phone, that being the only device in the house with Internet access. I’ve been marooned here with no transportation since Saturday morning. Mom isn’t back from camping yet. And she took the router, because of course she did.
Through no fault of my own (even the cops said so) I ran my car off the road, over a ditch, through a fence and into a cornfield. No injuries. It’s in the shop and I am stuck. No idea if it is worth it to fix.
Meanwhile, Charley stuff is piling up and all I can do is observe this on my phone and groan. I had promised to write a special entry for a friend and can’t do that either. I can go on Facebook and read emails and that’s kind of it. Doing any kind of writing is hard. Cell phone keyboards were not designed for long messages like this.
I just want you all to know I haven’t abandoned the site or this blog, I am just in a difficult position right now.
In better news, I have stopped shaking from the new medicine and really feel no different than before, which was kind of the point.
WHAT?!?!?! OMG!!!!!! Glad and relieved to read you sustained no injuries, and happy the undesirable side effects of your medication have finally subsided. I so understand your frustration, but rest assured that we (for I safely assume the other members feel the same) are first and foremost concerned for YOU and YOUR well-being. The rest can wait, even if I know first-hand how irritating it can be to see or know that stuff is piling up and being helpless about it, like during my countless stays at the hospital (where there is no internet for patients) in the last 20 months, and getting all upset about not being able to work on my cold cases and such. So please take very well care of yourself, all right dear? Many greetings from St-Césaire, Québec, Canada! ❤ ❤ ❤
wow, sorry about your car, but glad you weren’t hurt Meaghan. Was there a reason your mom needed the router on her camping trip, or is she just a bit eccentric? Do you have someone that you could dictate what you’d like written and they could submit something for you? Happy to hear you’re feeling better with your meds.
Mom was going RV-camping, not tent camping. She packed her laptop to use to prepare for school (she’s started teaching a course at the community college) and just automatically threw her router in too, without thinking.
Glad you feeling better!
Oh no, glad you aren’t hurt! TAKE IT EASY!! Everything else can wait, you getting better is the most important.
Ah, mothers…. so nonsensical 🙂
Glad you weren’t hurt. Truly appreciate all you do on the Charley Project. You do an awesome job Meaghan.
