Here is what I wrote to a friend backing 2011

    Hi Tracey,

What I posted is all that’s out there. She is not in NamUs but none of the missing from Danbury are. They don’t even list Kelly’s age at the time she was last seen, so I doubt Kelly’s DNA profile is in CODIS.

I know there is a large group of undocumented aliens who came to Danbury from Brazil during the last twenty years.. Some of those women become strippers or hook up with gangs but I have no idea if Kelly could have been one. She may be a Danbury High grad and her family has lived in the area for fifty years for all I know.

Anything’s possible, she could have just taken off or be the victim of foul play.

I first saw Kelly’s picture last year and cases like hers, people missing for 10 years or more and nothing is known about them, always bug me. Someone loves her, someone is missing her, but on the net – next to nothing

I just went to the website of the Danbury Police Department at http://www.ci.danbury.ct.us/police and clicked on the Missing Persons link and there is nobody on it at all.

Google searches for Kelley Zanon bring back a couple of different links that the Danbury PD has up like this:

      Click to access MissingPersons.pdf

I’m not sure how motivated Danbury is about missing person cases. There’s a man on the list linked to named James Faubel. I was pretty certain that I had found him on social media, and sent e-mails to the Danbury PD more than a year ago. No response was ever received.

Meaghan, I just checked, and there is no Down Street in Danbury. 5 Downs Street, the address I have, is the location of “New Directions” a counseling and psychotherapy center. The mailing address is 412 Main Street however

Here is another woman missing from Danbury, Connecticut.

Monica Hartnett, 44, missing since January 1, 2003 (Approximation) NamUs MP # 26821

Justin, I’m not sure but I think the Danbury police officer who used to keep the missing person’s site open retired

The city, police, as well as the local paper “The News-Times” show next to no interest in the missing. Which bothers me as the long time editor, Art Cummings, (recently retired) is a long time friend.

      Thanks for the info, Peter.
