I’ve been raiding the absolutely wonderful Iowa Cold Cases website and it has yielded rich nuggets of information. I’ve written updates for 26 cases and I’m not done yet. w00t!

Excellent!!
This is irrelevant, but I was wondering what happened to Jessie Mixon’s case file?
I purged it. If he is in fact still missing I can find it and put it back up if you like.
I contacted the North Las Vegas PD about missing persons who had first been posted on the late, lamented NCMA, but didn’t have a NamUs posting or anything official to confirm that they were still missing. They never got back to me. Mixon was on of them. He may very well be recovered by now.
Meaghan, perhaps you could post a list of missing persons whose only source is from the NCMA and you cannot confirm if they are still missing or not? Some people might know if they still are. If I find out if they are still missing. I would likely submit them to NamUs.
I actually have a huge list of possibly located people, but since my contact stopped confirming if people had been found or not, I have no way of going through it.
If you have any from California, I can check. Meaghan knows my email.
The Guy Heckle one was a bit disturbing, since I had never considered anything but a drowning in his case.
Is the first photo for Zulma Pabon really her?

Seems more African than Hispanic? I havent been able to find a news source with that picture. Also would it be possible to have direct links to source information instead of links to front pages? It would make it easier to go to sources and check info/pics. Not a criticism just an idea 🙂
I got it off the Virginia State Police website. So yes it probably really is her, unless they made a mistake which seems unlikely.
Great Job Megan! I Love you website and everything you do. Thank you!

I am really interested to find out what you have learned. I live in Iowa and some of these cases are from towns very close.
