That guy who wrote about me and that library book did decide to write about the Charley Project too; this article came out today. I noticed a slight inaccuracy: I don’t think Theresa Bier and Russell Welch were boyfriend and girlfriend. It’s still an incredible (in both the “wow” sense and the “I don’t believe this” sense) story, that one.
The computer in the background of the photograph is, of course, Orville.
Great article! And lovely picture! You look great! – pretty top! And of course Orville looks wonderful too! 😉
Thanks! You can buy the top yourself on eBay for $6.50 http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Womens-Chiffon-Long-Sleeve-Crew-Neck-Casual-Shirt-Blouse-Fashion-Tops/301254274546 It also comes in pink.
I remember Theresa’s story in the local media in 1987. I lived in the area at the time. He was 43 and she was 16. I could never figure out why her family let here leave with that that guy…
Since he was charged with “child stealing” I’m not sure they did let her leave. She might have left without permission.
Oh my gosh, I didn’t know about the info in the second paragraph. I should have clicked on the link before I posted. In one local news story it sounded like she had gone on a camping trip with a family friend when she disappeared.
Sorry that should be 3rd paragraph not 2nd
I, too, love the top. So cool! And I’m glad they manage to spell your name right, for YEARS they spelled my daughters name Nichole. It’s Nicole. Always has been, always will be, same school system most her life but yet…….anywho, good on you for the new article! And yeah, if you ever do a list on strangest circumstances, the Bigfoot thing would top the list. I mean, really?
Great article, Meaghan! I’m so glad you are getting some much deserved attention for all the hard work you do.
Great article! You and Orville look great!
Orville needs to be cleaned. Too much dust! Achoo!
It’s just the base that’s dusty. But yeah, I should have given him a go-over with Endust before the photographer arrived.
Nice article, enjoyed the part of your early interest in writing. Wanted to also send you ((hugs)) as I read your June entry on the anniversary of what happened to you. You are such a good-hearted person, you don’t deserve to even have one day of your joy being stolen by the bad memories that Rollo is responsible for.
By the way, did Michael get the job offer? Tell him next time to rent some Pixar movies.
Thank you for your support. You are very kind.
No, he has not found a job yet. 😦
If he did kill her, it’s a bit ridiculous to suggest Bigfoot. Maybe he just saw a large bear.
