A sad anniversary

Just realized it’s been 14 years this day that Jason Jolkowski walked out of his Omaha, Nebraska house into the void. His mother, Kelly Murphy, founded Project Jason in his honor. Project Jason is a great organization; I refer a lot of MP families to it. Kelly is an amazing woman and I admire her ability to bring something good out of this tragedy in her family. I hope this year is the year that Jason gets found.

Yeah, I’m very surprised that there was no movement on his case at all in 15 years!

Apparently a local man disappeared while going to an interview somewhere around the time that Jason went missing, though there’s laughably little info on that story.

I also read a lot about theories on occult and satanic activity around Omaha – Hummel Park, Frankiln scandal (apparently debunked later) etc.

There’s also a book called Rabbit Hole written by David Shurter who claims that he’s a survivor of ritual abuse – he have vids on Youtube where he walks around Omaha and points at purported places of activity for paedophiles.

At 19 Jason was a bit old to attract the attention of pedophiles.

Right – he was also a huge guy, so that cancels a theory about random abduction.

It seems like a lot of cases I know about are people who went missing on my birthday :I
Like Michelle Adam, Crystal Dittmeyer, Nicholas Barclay, Tiffany Papesh, Elizabeth Gill, and Mark Ysasaga
Michelle Adam also closely resembles somebody I know
13 is definitely a strange number

Jason is one I think of often. I’m familiar with the neighborhood he went missing from. It’s a more established, older area of Omaha, but I wouldn’t call it a high-crime area. There’s a few different ways he could have walked from his house to Benson High School. In my opinion, he was possibly hit by a car and the person panicked.

What speaks against the hit-and-run theory is that somebody would’ve heard noises given that it was very early in the morning.

I think that its very hard to pull off hit-and-run without anybody noticing a thing.

Another theory I considered was suicide – he was bullied in high school, after all. Cons of that theory are in the fact that he was looking forward to doing whatever he was doing on that day.

It is one huge mystery – probably one of the most baffling cases that I heard, up there with Asha Degree and Tara Calico.

Another theory is that maybe he ran into one of his bullies? Then again – I can’t imagine a fight or murder going down without anybody noticing anything.

That’s interesting… I haven’t read anything about him being bullied, but nothing surprises me anymore.

It wasn’t super-early in the morning… It was around 11 AM. Most people are at work… and any of his routes to Benson High School would have been along residential streets. I still think the hit & run & panic might have happened.

        The bully theory is interesting.

        Thank you for the insight!

I have to add again… He was walking. A car hitting a human being isn’t going to produce a loud sound.
