This week’s featured missing person is Christian Rudolf Hill, last seen in Birmingham, Alabama on October 16, 2011. He was twenty-four. Two weeks after his disappearance they found his car abandoned; beyond that, I don’t have much on him.
Missing young men, in particular missing young black men, are under-represented in the media.
You’re right about not much coverage. He’s missing from my city and a news link I had in December 2011 mentioned a family member thought a girl had set him up.
I wish I knew why some cases get crimestoppers rewards offered and some don’t. I’ve got him listed here with coverage from my local news.

And that is sad, too, about our society. When a woman goes missing, for the most part, she gets sympathy (to the point of it turning to pity) ; when a man goes missing, it’s usually either he took off or he did something to cause his disappearance/ wasn’t “man” enough to stop it from happening and doesn’t deserve sympathy. 😦
