Elisabeth Martinsson identified

21-year-old Elisabeth Martinsson disappeared from Kentsfield, California on January 17, 1982 (my idol Robert Cormier’s fifty-seventh birthday, incidentally). She was from Uddevalla, a city in southwestern Sweden, and had come to California to study. This article from an English-language Swedish publication says Elisabeth’s remains were found outside San Francisco “just a few years ago” but not identified till now.

Her body will be returned to Sweden to be buried with her parents.

Well, good on that. Always nice to see long time cases come to a conclusion. Condolences to her family. OT, I don’t think E. Jefferson was it was 211. Maybe 20-21. As it is a recent post, should be easy to remove. Hope you are feeling well, and thanks for the new updates!

Wow. It’s been a busy week for cold case missing persons, huh? It must be satisfying to move a case to the Resolved section, especially if it’s an old one.

It’s just a wild guess but it appears possible the remains of Doe Network # 1200UFCA have been matched.

She was found in Brisbane, California south of San Francisco on November 16, 2012. She is described as a white female of European ancestry, anywhere from 5’!” to 5’9” tall, who had been deceased for five years or longer. She was wearing a Christmas themed Turtle Bay T-shirt and showed signs of a previously healed pelvic fracture. The only thing off is the estimated age, which is described as being early 30’s to mid 40’s

The race matters: the suspect who was found in her car was Henry Lee Johnson, a black male.
