Select It Sunday: Mary Carol Hill Fredrick

Selected by Cattt, this SIS case is Mary Carol Hill Fredrick. She had spent fourteen years working for the state helping underprivileged kids, but had taken a leave of absence from her job to enroll in law school at Stetson University. She disappeared from Tampa, Florida on June 3, 1994.

Mary was last seen in the company of Louis Joseph Hlava. I did some looking into the case and found this page, which has a comment from someone claiming to be Mary’s husband. He writes that Hlava was a coworker of Mary’s and is the only suspect in her disappearance. The husband is presumably not a suspect since he was camping with his and Mary’s son across the country when she disappeared. I’ll have to update her Charley Project page with the new information.
