Flashback Friday: Pamela Mayfield

This week’s Flashback Friday is Pamela Mayfield, a five-year-old girl who disappeared with her six-year-old brother, Michael. They were last seen on January 10, 1985 walking to Betsy Ross Elementary School in Houston, Texas; they were kindergarten students there. Both kids look adorable in their pictures; Pamela in particular looks like a doll. Unfortunately I don’t know much about their disappearances and the police haven’t said much, other than that they think it was a relative or family acquaintance who took them.

Michael and Pamela would both be in their thirties today.

Hmm…that is very weird. I hope that the kids weren’t harmed in any way.
They were both very cute indeed. I wonder who took them, and why?

It is classified as a “non-family abduction”…somebody must know something.

Also, what disturbs me is not just when one person disappears but two or more people are abducted at the same time…spooky. That is why sometimes even the “buddy system” can fail.

To think that these children were walking to school and both of them were taken by Lord knows who, is just upsetting on many levels.
I hope that they were at least taken care of by the person that took them and not abused or worse.

With limited information sounds possible that potentially placed in State Hospital and later an orphanage either in state or surrounding state! Unfortunately, common practice that is slowly coming out!
