Michelle Thomas‘s case barely qualifies as a Flashback Friday: FF cases are meant to be older than me, and it appears Michelle disappeared just a few hours before I was born: October 5, 1985, from Santa Fe, Texas. Her case is one of the distinct minority of Charley Project cases that have NEVER been updated in the over ten years I’ve run this site.
I don’t have much on Michelle, other than the interesting facts that she was a police informant, and that she could have been the victim of a serial killer. In her picture she looks very eighties, with the feathered hair and everything. Frozen in time.

I don’t know if this will qualify as something to update or not, but I’ve looked at her webpages with NamUs, the NCMEC and the Texas Department of Public Safety and they all say she went missing from Alta Loma, Texas and your site states that she was last seen in Santa Fe, Texas. The Doe Network states that she was last seen leaving her residence in Santa Fe, but the Charley Project Details of Disappearance for her states that her residence was in Alta Loma and she was seen leaving from there. I’m pretty sure Santa Fe is very close to Alta Loma.
Alta Loma actually became part of Santa Fe in 1978, before Michelle disappeared.

Michette’s case is reminds of the disappearance of Wanda Priddy, 20, in 1978 and Kathryn Collins, 23, in 1981 from Port Lavaca, Texas. Like many south gulf coast Texas cases from that time period there is just enough known to be intriguing.
Is it possible that, being a police informant, she was moved into a witness protection program? Maintaining her status as a MP could be a disinformation tactic designed for her safety.
Unlikely considering it was the day before her son’s first birthday and she left him behind.
What about Charlotte Kinsey and Cinda Pallett both 13 who disappeared from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 09/26/81?

She may have been involved in some shady stuff with friends, leading to her involvement as a police informant to get burglary charges dropped. Also, her dad was an alcoholic and she was a young mom.
