It occurred to me that Charley does not have an official mission statement, and I wonder if it’s worthwhile to make one for the site. I suppose the Charley Project’s mission is to tell, as thoroughly as possible, the story behind each person’s disappearance, and publicize the cases. Is that worth stretching into an entire mission statement?

A happy New Year to you and yours.

I don’t think that there’s a need for one – to me the whole idea behind this website can all be rolled into one or two phrases.

To give awareness of these missing people. Give enough information as possible, to bring these people home, and give families some closure.

I like what Crystal says,..of course you need a mission statement and this defines what you do. Which by the way, is a very valuable source and much needed reference for The Missing. Never underestimate the power of your postings:)!~

Many of these people are probably long gone. I think this site also functions as a memorial to them, so they aren’t entirely forgotten as time and their family members pass on.

“To give awareness and support by informing the public who is missing, updating their status and helping family find necessary information and support. I believe a “mission statement” iti’s vital and the fewer the words the better.
