Erica Parsons’s parents found guilty of fraud

I’m a bit late here; this happened back in October. Casey Parsons pleaded guilty to fraud and her husband Sandy was convicted of the same for taking $12,000 in benefits for Erica Parsons after she “ran away from home.”

The couple face sentencing in February and could get up to twenty years in prison. They deserve that, and more.

    Off topic,

Contrary to a 2 plus year old Charley Project update from NCMEC, Iasial Sweeting, now 21, missing from Avondale Estates, Georgia since April 12, 2010 has finally been recovered; alive. But unlike the obligatory NCMEC posting she was found anything but safe.

The once pretty 5’0” tall 103 pound girl was found after more then 4 years of captivity weighing just 59 pounds. She had given birth to two children, one lived but is in fragile health, the other died.

I don’t get it — why the NCMEC would send me a recovery notice two years ago if she hadn’t been recovered. If it was a mistake why didn’t they re-list her?

I’m glad Iasia is alive if not well. I hope she gets the physical and mental care she will need.

Pure speculation but I think its possible the cult forced Iasial to contact her family after she turned 18, the say way many pimps force juveniles to contact their parents so they will be listed as runaways. As a adult she was free to do what she pleased and the case closed. Later when she did not return home and no one hear from her she was listed at NamUs as a voluntary missing adult.
