Laurie Allison Smith is this week’s featured missing person; she’s been missing since 1977 and would be 60 years old today if she is still alive. But I doubt that.
Her disappearance is probably drug-related; she was last seen en route to pick up a wholesale delivery of marijuana. I understand that the idea of legalizing marijuana remains a controversial thing, and with good reason, but I think doing so would solve more problems than it would create. If the drug had been legal in 1977, perhaps Laurie wouldn’t have disappeared.
She was a beautiful young woman. A lot of the information in her casefile comes from her former boyfriend, who contacted me last year.
