Per Jennifer W. and the Columbus Dispatch: missing man Anthony “Tony” Luzio Jr.’s body has been found inside his car in a pond not far from where he was last seen leaving a friend’s house party. It appears he just drove off the road into the pond. Searchers had been operating under that theory for some time and were systematically checking ponds in the area to see if they could find him.
R.I.P. Tony. He was 25 years old.
I have a horror of my car ever going into a body of water. I keep a hammer under my front seat to smash out windows. The #1 tip from police agencies is to never take the time to place a call for help in this situation as you would have approximately 60 seconds to exit the car.
Yes, I think way too much about these things!
Anyone who would actually call 911 while sinking in their car deserves to drown
It has happened many times, however–people who are panicked (who wouldn’t be) and don’t realize how fast a car sinks.
Wow, that’s a terrible thing to say. When people are under extreme stress and/or fear, we tend to do irrational things. To say that someone in a panicked state “deserve to drown” is insensitive and doesn’t make a lot sense. God forbid this ever does happen, but if someone ever had a gun on you, would you actually try to wrestle the gun away from them? I think not.
Oh my god!!! I have been following his case for so long…I almost fell over when I saw this! I can’t believe they finally found him. Thank you so much for posting this….what would we do without you!
The bodies of Hammack, Porter, and Duncan have been identified.

Are the police still investigating Tony Luizo Jr’s death? Could it have been that Tony Jr took his own life?
I’m assuming they are, but I don’t know the answer to that question.
