A curious thing

It came to my attention that, for whatever reason, the date of birth on Mikelle Diane Biggs‘s tombstone is wrong. It gives her date of birth as May 31, 1989, making her nine years old when she disappeared. Every other source I’ve seen gives the date as May 31, 1987, which would have made her eleven. I’m sure the 1987 date of birth is right. She was in the sixth grade when she disappeared, and her own sister posted on Reddit about the case and said she was eleven years old.

Thanks, but I think it would be more appropriate for you to email corrections to me, instead of posting them in the comments section.

That’s weird. Maybe the tombstone manufacturers or the family made a mistake and the family decided to not pay for another tombstone.

It actually happens more than you would think, you see articles in papers (for just regular people) where they get the wrong date, spell the name wrong, etc. And somehow, without public outcry, it never gets fixed. Must be in the fine print somewhere. You would think they should out of decency though……..

On a separate matter, the Mexican press is reporting that Margie Jelovcic and Randy Yager were located in Mexico. Yager was arrested, and Margie committed suicide after a road chase that began with her chasing after the Mexican police with a pistol in her hand as the police who were taking Yager away. The police then began chasing after her, and she fled in a 1999 Ford Explorer.

After she lost control and flipped over the vehicle that she was driving, she committed suicide by gunshot.

Wow, what a sad ending to such a promising life. I always did wonder what happened to her. I am surprised they stayed together. I’ll have to keep an eye out for updates.

The article Carl sent me says they lived quietly as a married couple under alias names in an apparently normal life, and none of their friends had any idea about their past.

The wrong date seems to occur often. I’ve been researching
deaths/ disappearances in VA. While checking out the disappearance of Barbara Jean Monaco, I read articles/blogs/websites that tell of a suspect committing suicide in 2004. Most of the things I found say he was questioned and died in 2004. I found a Virginia Pilot Newspaper article dated Sept 8, 2001 that discusses his suicide. That’s a 3 year difference.

My Niece died in Aug of 2010 and her own father had 2011 put on her headstone.
