    I did a Google search, and there is a Facebook page that has some interesting stuff … like, someone in Omaha is either using her identity or is her …???

        I think she’s most likely alive, also. It looks like she’s also known by her maiden name of Cari L. Golden – numerous searches are tying the name “Cari L. Golden” with Cari L. Farver.”

        Searches for both of these names are returning addresses in someplace called Macedonia, Iowa. It also looks like she was involved in a custody dispute the month after she disappeared (run a CTRL F and search for “Farver”:

        I also think that it’s possible she left husband, went back to maiden name, and then got married again, with her most current name being Cari Potter.

        Regardless, she’s not listed in NamUs, and I don’t think there’s much of reason for her to be continue to be listed. I’ll see if I can’t find anything more concrete and contact Iowa law enforcement.

    I wonder if some people reported as missing eventually show up and nobody informs LE. Is there a law that states if the missing person shows up that LE needs to be notified? Sometimes, I wonder if Steven Thell Koecher has “returned” and LE was not notified. His family appears religious and private and might not have wanted LE or the media to know.

      LE would continue to list a person as missing until they find out otherwise. I’ve got a few cases where it’s said “LE thinks maybe the person has come home but they’ve lost touch with the family so they can’t say for sure.”

    Meaghan, FYI

    Taken from article;

    “Wardwell said that Menard had a daughter serving overseas in the armed forces at the time of her disappearance. The Charley Project, an online database that profiles more than 9,000 “cold case” missing persons throughout the United States, stated that Menard was a substance abuse counselor who went out for a pack of cigarettes on the night of Oct. 4, 2003, and was never seen again“.

    Cari is still missing today, her 42nd birthday. Farver is her maiden name and the current name she goes by. Former married sur names are Golden and Potter. There is currently an investigation into who was posing as Cari using Facebook and text messaging. There has been no confirmed sighting of her since November 11, 2012. I am a friend of Cari’s as well as her family. They still need answers.
