Select It Sunday: Dervish Adili

Selected by Ryan, Dervish Adili was last known to be alive in Tok, Alaska on August 13, 1992. When he actually disappeared is anyone’s guess, and it wasn’t reported until 2006. His belongings, including his checkbook and ID, turned up at a campsite in 2000. I don’t think there have been any clues since then.

My guess is that Mr. Adili suffered some mishap while hiking in the wilderness. But we’ll probably never know.

This is one of those cases where a little bit of additional info would be great. Why the wait to report him missing? Why wasn’t it on file when belongings were found, suspects, circumstances etc.? And yes, being missing that long camping in AK is not the greatest sign. So big. Off topic, read an article today that Brittany Wood is presumed dead now (not a surprise). Given that a good percentage of her family is under arrest (for other things), I have to wonder where her daughter is, if she is alright and not another victim, and who the dad was. Such a tragic case, and very sick when you think about all the people involved. Ugh.

I was going to post what already has been said! He goes missing in 1992 … his wallet is found in 2000 … yet a relative doesn’t report him missing until October 2006?!! According to a Google search, this relation lives in Wisconsin (and possibly does the snowbird deal) and is in his late 50s … which tells me this could be a brother ??? As far as I can determine, the last name is Turkish.
