MP of the week: Mayme Johnson

It’s Tuesday, and time for the featured missing person of the week. This time it’s Mayme H. Johnson, an 85-year-old woman in the early stages of Alzheimer’s Disease, who disappeared from Nashville, Tennessee on June 12, 2000. If she’s still alive, she would be 99 today.

No one has commented yet on this so I will…I find this type of case so sad. To live that long and disappear from your own house, neighborhood, etc., with no resolving. I wonder if that is due to faulty LE work or just that no one cares….it wouldn’t surprise me if a lot of these elderly aren’t that far from home or UIDs somewhere. So very depressing.

I just found your site and find it very interesting. In regards to the MP of the week “Mayme Johnson”, is there any more info regarding her son such as his name and what his background is? Lots of questions here such as how did he feel having to take care of his mother in an apartment and her being sick. The info states that Ms. Johnson was in the “early stages of alzeihmers” which doesn’t necessarily mean that she was to the stage of wandering off and getting lost. Is there a police report available to read?
