Make-a-List Monday: “Three Dots” tattoos

A few days ago I pondered upon the meaning of the “three dots on the hand” tattoo. A bunch of people answered. I thought I’d make a list of all the MPs with this particular tattoo.

Nachida Keota Chandara
Jason Anthony Franks
Jose Angel Fuentes Jr.
Nina Brenda Herron
George Jordache*
Katya Marie Lyne
Antonio Rojas Ortega
April Susanne Wiss

*His description just says “dots” but given the position, I’ll bet money that the number is three.

Honorable mentions
Luis Israel Baez has TWO dots on each hand.
Shane Lawrence McKinney has three dots on his ear.

    Hey Megan,

Have you done a list of those who have disappeared while running/jogging/walking? I seem to see a lot people who have disappeared this way and am curious to the actual number of them.

Meaghan, Is okay to research mps last names to find out their origin? For example, I googled Rebecca Triska’s last name and Triska Is a Czech. That means she Is of Czech descent?

Jose: Nothing stopping you from researching anything you want, although contacting the people or relatives of the MP is something you should definitely NOT do. As far as their origins go, that can be tricky. This country can have a mishmash of ethnic backgrounds that are far removed from the wording of their last name. I once knew a fairly dark-skinned black man whose grandfather was white and his last name was very long and Germanic sounding. And don’t get me started on adoptions.

Meaghan, I just found a bit more information about the November 1, 1982 disappearance of Yvonne Mestas and Victoria Sanchez from Rocky Ford, Colorado.

From the May 19, 2013 Denver Post article ‘Across Colorado, dozens of families look for missing children’

‘There are the two girls, Yvonne Mestas and Victoria Sanchez, both 15 and both snatched off a street in tiny Rocky Ford as they walked home from a school function in November 1982.”

If this report is accurate it certainly puts a different spin on what is known about Yvonne and Victoria. It does not sound like investigators now believe they left of their own free
    will.

Although most on-line missing person sites suggest they are runaways. Including Charley, where you write “Yvonne Mestas, 15, and her friend Victoria Sanchez, 15, missing from Colorado since 1982. They ran away together” .

Anyone ever heard of this Lori Gibson MP mentioned in this article? I can’t find her on any of the databases.

I might have to find a way to contact this George Barter guy to ask for more info on this girl and see if it’s possible to compile enough info to make a profile for her.

    Hi Angie,

The man was identified on Feb. 19, 2014 as Stewart Eric Simmons, who was 20 years old at the time of his disappearance. He was from Georgia and joined the navy after high school. Possible homesick he went AWOL from the navy in San Diego, California

The female remains unidentified but is believed to be someone known as Margo.

According to his parents, Stewart had mentioned meeting a woman, a waitress known as Margo, shortly before leaving.

I think she is possibly Margret Ann Walden, 39 who vanished from Durango, Colorado in July 1982. Margret’s nickname is Margo and she had previously visited San Diego She told her mother she was on a camping trip with a sailor.

Yes, I know about that case. I’m asking about the missing person named Lori Gibson who was mentioned in the article as going missing from Tennessee in 1982. I can’t find her on Charley Project, Doe Network, or NAMUS but from the description in this article and another one I read, she’s still missing.

So I’m thinking maybe I should contact Det. Barter and ask if he has any additional info on her that could be used to make a profile.

        Hi Angie,

Sorry I felt you were referring to the case the article is written about and George Barter’s assumptions were, for the most part, wrong.

Yes, there is a teenager from Tennessee who went missing while on a hike. Her name however is not Lori Gibson. Its Trenny Lynn Gibson, 16, who went missing on October 08, 1976 NamUs MP # 4524. The missing date eluded to in the article “a little bit before our victim was found,” is not even close.
        .

Wow that’s straight up misinformation…very strange! Although, I still think that the car being buried right near where the bodies were found, and being found at the same time, is suspicious. Like maybe the person(s) who killed Stewart Simmons and Margaret Walden had other victims who were never reported missing?

Sometimes I wonder about these cops and how much misinformation they seem prone to spreading…like how they said the note was found in Grateful Doe’s pocket when it was actually found outside the car (don’t know if you follow that case).
