This week’s featured MP is Christina Lynn Lewis, a sixteen-year-old girl who was last seen in New Bern, North Carolina in 2000. As with Alexander Ferguson, this is a case with frustratingly little information available: it isn’t clear how, or even precisely when, Christina disappeared. She would be 30 years old today.
These type of cases are extremely annoying. Christina is listed as missing since June 20, 2000, the date that she was entered as missing with NCIC. But in fact the last confirmed contact with her was at 3:38 p.m. on the afternoon of June 9, 2000, some 11 days earlier. That’s 11 day’s where a body found in a different state would never be compared with her because the official record shows she was not missing yet.
NamUs is a wonderful thing, but garbage in will still equal garbage out.
Hi, I should amend that. NamUs has it right. Everyone else, including NCMEC, has it wrong.
