Every once in awhile I Google the names of random MPs looking for any information I might have missed — I call it “fishing.” Anyway, I put in Randy Doyle Parscale Jr.‘s name and found a Find a Grave for a Randy Doyle Parscale, 1943-2003. He was relatively young, only 59 69, when he died.
I’m thinking it’s probably the missing Randy’s dad. He’s the right age — he would have been 26 when Randy Jr. was born — and they have the same name and he’s buried in Arizona, the same state Randy Jr. disappeared from. And this article mentions Randy Jr.’s father is dead.
Can anyone confirm this?

I would likely say it was due to proximity. Oracle is a suburb of Tucson. I would also note since the last name isn’t common it is also likely. But no sheer proof.
On Randy Jr’s page you have that he was hiking with his Grandfather but on the news article it states he was hiking with his Father. Has that ever been correctly confirmed?
The article does say “father and other family members” so presumably that could include the grandfather and two brothers as well. But it is a bit vague.
I am pretty sure they are the same. I was born 3 years later and Randy is a cousin of mine.
Look for an actual obituary online, they often name family members

Goggle news archive mentions father Randy Sr. being 36 and the article was written in 1980, so the birthyear of 1943 matches.
